Yes, a legal wedding in The Bahamas is recognized in all other countries. You will be provided with a certified marriage certificate.
Legally you have to be in The Bahamas at least twenty four (24) hours before you can apply for a marriage license. The Registrar office hours are Mondays to Fridays 9:30am to 4:00pm, closed on weekends and local holidays. If you are planning a wedding for the weekend (Friday to Sunday) you must arrive in The Bahamas from Wednesday of that week.
